Rest

I am weary, Lord.

I seek Your promised rest.

I need Your peace to overwhelm me.

I seek Your promised rest.

Help me understand resting in You.

Help me grow ever closer to You.

Help me find Your rest.

Help me live the life You have for me.

I am still in Your presence, Lord.

I am waiting on You, Lord.

I am remembering You, Lord.

I am seeking more of You, Lord.

You are my rock and my salvation.

You are my fortress.

You are my hope.

You are my everything.

In You I find rest.

In You I find peace.

In You anxiety flees.

In You fear flees.

I run to You, Lord.

I run to Your shelter.

I run to Your peace.

I run to Your rest.

You are my rest, Lord!

In the midst of the busyness,

You are my rest.

In the midst of life’s chaos,

You are my rest.

In the midst of life’s worries,

You are my rest.

In the midst of my never ending to do list,

You are my rest.

In the midst of my working,

You are my rest.

In the midst of suffering,

You are my rest.

In the midst of life’s joys,

You are my rest.

In the midst of life’s sorrows,

You are my rest.

In the midst of death,

You are my rest.

In the midst of mourning,

You are my rest.

I choose to run to You.

I choose Your peace.

I choose Your rest.

I choose You!
